Kunubu is a one-man instrumental reggae/rock project from Virginia Beach, VA and has been making fun, SoCal inspired reggae rock since July 2010. Kunubu is an altered form of the word Qunubu, coming from the same Proto-Indo European root word as Cannabis. Ancient Europeans used qunubu for recreational and ritual use, and viewed it as a sacred plant, not a weed to be despised.
